First Communion

This past May was Ian's First Communion.
Grandma and Grandpa came out for a quick
visit to help us celebrate.

It is safe to say that my kids were happy to
see Grandma and Grandpa. It had been almost
a year since we had seen them last.

Ian did the first reading for Mass.

Father Jim gave Joshua and Ian
some words of congratulations.

My sweet Ian.

I will admit it...it took a "little" prodding from
Grammy and Grandma to get Ian enrolled
in CCD. Not to mention, Grammy was kind
enough to drive Ian, Chelsea and Morgan to
CCD each week. Ian couldn't have done it
without her. Thanks for everything Grammy!
As always, my eyes are closed.
Why pay for pictures when
you have a back drop as pretty
as Grammy and Papa's yard?

Our wonderful neighbor Debbie
came out to congratulate Ian before
Mass.

This was at the airport as we dropped Grandma
and Grandpa off for their return flight to Texas.
We were so thankful that they were able to make
it out here. All three of us had sad eyes as we
walked back to the car. Jenna summed it up when
she said "My heart is so sad to see them leave".
