A Hairy Story

I'm working on the blog. Ian is in the shower and
he yells, "MOM...come here!" I oblige."Everything
OK Buddy?" "Yeah...look at how funny my hair is."




I guess there is a good side to Ian's
wild hair!

2, 4, 6 ...(Morgan Just Turned ) 8!

Morgan turned 8 last week so we celebrated
tonight with some fun activities and Papa's
famous "chicken on the bone".

Whew....we made it! Ian finally
got to drive the go cart. Can you
tell how proud he was???

Brandon got a turn to drive as well. They both

did really well!

Then we fed the fish.

Finally, it was time for CAKE!

Jenna picked out a Super Bouncy Ball kit for

Morgan. The balls turned out super cool!

when two bigger kids have him

Jump into Summertime Fun!

Summer is almost over, school starts on Monday.
I always try and take off the last few days of
summer break to spend with the kids. It was
even more fun this year because Jennifer
and a few of Ian's friends' Moms were also off
of work. Thursday, we all met up at Pump It Up.
It might be the most fun I have had since, well,
July. The point is, it was fun.

Don't you love Morgan's bangs? They're new
and I think they are adorable. These girls
are such good friends...even better that they
are cousins!

Next up, races through the obstacle

courses. I love Mo's socks...can't miss

'em.

Jennifer does not let her kids win. She is a true

competitor. She went all out every round.

Yes, that khaki bum coming over the

hurdle is Jennifer. No, she did not win. But,

she had a ton of fun.

Angel (Brandon's Mom), Brenden (Brandon's

This is what happens when someone else is holding

my camera. I promised Jennifer that as horrible

as I look, this would make the blog.

We were in the middle of a furious game of

dodge ball. This was perhaps the best part

of the Pump It Up adventure.

Morgan was deciding who to take aim at.

No fair...I'm taking pictures! Yes, this one hit

me square in the face, but at least I got the

shot. Drake is laid out, Brandon took a break

to dunk a basket and Morgan is waiting to see

who makes the best target. (You know it's her

because of the socks!)

This was WAY better than work! I love being

able to spend some time before summer break

ends just playing with the kids. Sharing our

fun adventures with family and friends made

it even better. Thanks everyone for such fun

times!

10 in 2010

It happened. I thought it would take forever to get
here but it happened in a blink of an eye. My little
boy, who I swear was just born yesterday, turned
10 this year.

In honor of this momentous event...

What a wild crew! Chelsea, Morgan, Ian, James
Jenna, Coty, Drake and Brandon.

Everyone was excited to look through Ian's
first Marvel comic book...Dead Pool. Thanks Brandon!
The Lemons had the same idea and sent him a
subscription to the Marvel comic book
The Avengers.

All lined up watching the Dragon Ball Z cartoons.
I thought "what a nice evening this is going to be."

Then the sugar kicked in. These boys started
out just playing with the balloons and then the
Nerf guns and weapons came out. Those boys
wrestled for hours. We had a couple of minor
bumps and bruises and tons of laughter.

Over the past years, Ian has become good friends

with James, Coty, Brandon and Drake. We enjoyed getting

to know them better. They are all really good boys.

Another cake??? We had a "make up"

party a week later. Our very good

friend, Joshua, was bitten by a dog

right before Ian's party and wasn't

able to make it. So, we had a special

party just for him.

Ian, we are so proud of you. You are a great boy,

fun to be around, a good friend and the best

big brother ever. In short, YOU ROCK!!!

Jenna's Peanuts

One of Jenna's science projects
this year was to watch roots
grow from peanuts. In a zip loc
bag, they placed moist paper towels
and several raw peanuts. After a
a week (or so), the peanuts started
to grow roots. We took them over
to Papa's and he transplanted them
into his garden. A couple weeks ago,
he stopped by to give Jenna her
harvest. Wild huh??? Now we are
one the lookout for a good boiled
peanut recipe! Thanks Mrs. Hess
for such a fun experiment!!!
