4th of July

Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. Not
only are we celebrating the Independence of this
great nation but it is steeped with family traditions.
We always go the Miracle ballgame, we always
go to the San Carlos parade, we always sweat our
fannies off at the park following the parade and we
always wrap things up with a bbq and fireworks
with the May Family.

Let's Go Miracle! (clap, clap, clap clap clap)
We always go to the Miracle game to kick off
the 4th of July celebration. They have the BEST
fireworks in town.

Ian called Grandma and Grandpa before
the San Carlos Parade started. We
went to countless number of parades
with Grandma, waiting to see
Grandpa on the Knights of Columbus
float. We were missing them and
they were missing us!

Future patriots waiting for the parade to start!

We got a soaking as one of the floats
went by us.
After the parade, we head down to the park for
some small town celebrating. We always have
to take a ride on the ponies. Or is it Unicorns?

Even Ian enjoys the pony rides.

Firecrackers. Jalapenos stuffed with chicken and
cheese, wrapped in phylo dough.
If you know me, you know I love to find
festive foods to celebrate the holidays.

Edible sparklers. The kids had
a blast making these for me.

As we do every year, we close out the holiday with
Acie setting off some of his fireworks. He always does
a great job!
